A damaged EQB costs a fraction of what the model cost when new, and with this type of car that gap is larger than average. On this page you can see in one go what the car dealers, traders and dismantling companies in our network have on offer, from the Netherlands and abroad. That spares you doing the rounds of separate used-car sites. Filter by year of manufacture, trim level or type of damage and contact the seller directly.
What is listed here depends on what our partners buy in and changes every day. The EQB came onto the market in 2021 as the electric counterpart of the GLB, with the same boxy bodywork and up to seven seats. Within the range there are three drive versions, and that distinction determines what a salvage car fetches.
The entry-level version drives the front wheels with 190 hp and, with the largest battery pack, manages over 500 kilometres on the WLTP standard. It is the best seller and therefore also the one that most often comes up as a damaged vehicle.
With this version, work out what the car costs you including repair. Because the market value of electric used cars from these years has fallen sharply, that sum often works out better than expected.
Include the charging speed in that calculation too. The EQB charges modestly compared with newer models, and that counts if you want to use it for business.
At a rapid charger it reaches roughly 100 kW, enough to recharge most of the battery in half an hour en route.
A second motor on the rear axle produces the 300 4MATIC with 228 hp and the 350 4MATIC with 292 hp. These accelerate somewhat more briskly and have grip on slippery road surfaces, but offer a slightly shorter range.
For you as a buyer, a second motor also means an extra component that has value. On a car that you use as a donor vehicle, that counts in the calculation.
In the Netherlands these versions were sold in smaller numbers, which is precisely what makes them interesting as donor vehicles.
Like the GLB, the EQB is available with a third row of seats. It is cramped but usable, and on the used market it makes a noticeable difference to the asking price.
On a damaged example, check that this row of seats is complete and undamaged. Seats, belts and latches are model-specific and not cheap when bought new.
Also check that the floor panel beneath the third row is straight. An impact from behind pushes that in first, and that makes refitting the seats difficult.
In practice, that third row is mainly intended for children, but that is exactly why many families chose this model over a smaller electric SUV.
We have no fixed stock list. You set what your Mercedes EQB salvage car must meet and then see whether anything suitable is listed at the moment:
No match yet? By next week the picture may already be different. Save your search or this page and come back now and then, and you will be there as soon as a partner lists one.
Does a car stand out? The advert shows extensive photos and the full damage description, with the seller’s contact details alongside.
With an electric family car, the costs are in different places from a petrol version. Four points determine how your calculation turns out.
The pack sits flat in the floor and is well protected there. In practice, bodywork damage almost never reaches it. Even so, ask for a recent readout of the capacity and for the number of charge cycles.
With damage to the underside or after a fire, it is different. Then have the seller first demonstrate that the pack is unaffected before you calculate any further.
The EQB has straight panels that lend themselves well to dent repair, but the bumpers contain radar, parking sensors and a camera. After a collision these have to be recalibrated, and that sometimes doubles the bill. That is where your advantage lies: through our platform you can get those same parts from a salvage vehicle for a fraction of the new price.
The insurer does a calculation: the repair costs against the market value of the car at the time of the loss. With an electric used car whose value has fallen, that threshold comes into view sooner than the condition of the vehicle justifies.
So work out for yourself whether repair pays off or whether the value lies more in the components: the battery pack, the electric motors, the charging technology or the complete interior.
Ask for the VIN and use it to check the damage history, supplemented by the reports from the insurer or an approved repairer. Also find out how much battery warranty is still running; that period is longer than the warranty on the rest of the car.
Finally, check that there is no block on the vehicle. Complete paperwork makes re-registration or export to Germany, Belgium or Poland a good deal easier.
You want to know who is behind the advert. That is why a place on our platform is reserved for accredited dealers who are members of organisations such as the Vereniging Schadevoertuighandel (VSV) and the Stichting Verzekeringsbureau Voertuigcriminaliteit (VbV). A substantial share of their stock comes directly from insurers, so the origin of the car is clear.
Every Mercedes EQB salvage car on our platform has sharp photos and detailed specifications. They let you establish beforehand whether it is bodywork damage or whether there is more to it, for example around the battery pack.
Want to see more? Ask the dealer for images of the tailgate and the underbody plate. On an electric car, those are the places where damage has the most consequences.
You deal with the dealer yourself and pay no middleman, which brings the price down and shortens the process. A damaged EQB also costs considerably less than a comparable one without damage. What else we offer you:
From companies buying for repair or dismantling to families who want to drive electric affordably: the buyers differ greatly. Do you fall into one of these groups?
What a repair ultimately costs depends mainly on where you source the parts. That is why, alongside the car, you will also find Mercedes salvage cars and high-quality used car parts for this specific model.
That way you get the car and the parts you need from the same network. That spares you doing the rounds of suppliers and, with electronics, often a long delivery time too.
Buying as a business? Then from a single account you can see the new listings and the donor vehicles at the same time.
“All the salvage car dealers on our platform are selected in advance and continually add their stock. That keeps the listings on this page topped up: if there is nothing here today, something may be added tomorrow. With an electric car their assessment carries extra weight, because they make clear what the damage does to the repair costs and to the residual value.”
Repairing a damaged EQB with used parts cuts costs and at the same time saves raw materials. Putting an existing car back to use simply takes less material than building a new one.
With an electric car, that effect is bigger than you might think. Producing the battery pack accounts for a good part of the environmental impact over the whole life of the car. A pack that is still in good order therefore deserves a place in another vehicle rather than in the shredder. We are happy to contribute to that form of reuse.
Do you have a question about one specific Mercedes EQB on our platform, for example about the damage history, the capacity of the battery pack or the third row of seats? The dealer offering the car can answer that fastest.
The dealer’s telephone number and email address are on the right of the advert.
Do you have a question about how buying a salvage car with us works? Then first read through our frequently asked questions from users. If that does not settle it, send us a message; you will find our details on the customer service page.
No. The stock comes from our affiliated partners and shifts every day. The number is growing, however, now that the first lease cars from 2021 and 2022 are coming onto the market. Save your search or this page and check back from time to time.
In practice these packs hold up well; a sharp drop in capacity is the exception. Do allow for a shorter range in winter, especially without a heat pump. With a salvage car, always ask for a recent readout.
That, according to the insurer, repairing costs more than the car now fetches. Because the market value of electric used cars has fallen while parts remain expensive, that threshold is reached quickly. There is seldom anything wrong with the technology itself.
For a large part, yes, because the EQB shares its bodywork and interior with the GLB. The electric motors, the charging technology and the car’s own front end are model-specific, though; for those, a salvage vehicle from our listings generally takes you to the right part in the shortest time.
Yes, provided the export documents and the damage file are correct. For Germany, Belgium or Poland you need the complete registration document. Check beforehand that there is no block on the car.
No. We bring parties together; the sale lies with the affiliated dealer. So any warranty comes from the dealer, and you agree those terms in advance.
